Henrique Neves, better known through his alias, The Daily Spreadsheets, is a massive fan of early 90’s TV show ‘The Wonder Years’. Back in 2014, while playing around at home with his guitar, a melody quite similar to one of the show’s themes, Karla Bonoff’s ‘Wild Heart of the Young’ came to mind and Neves wrote down a sweet and mellow late 70’s inspired pop ballad. The song remained untouched untill earlier this year, when, after the release of mostly acclaimed The ‘Sheets’ single ‘Glide’, Neves went looking at his back catalogue for some hidden gem that might work with a pop-punk arrangement and upbeat tempo. This new version of ‘Keep’ proved to work really well and it’s now an uplifting, cheering and dancing craze tune, with the astonishing groove provided by Argentinian drummer Guille Gardeazabal. Henrique decided to mix and master himself, in order to achieve the right sound he had in mind, which never quite came near this hollow professional fancy studio garbage you find everywhere. ‘Keep’ was released on 13th August 2021 Social Media Links
